I don’t usually like to air the dirty laundry, so to speak, but I wanted to share a little reminder from the vendor side of weddings. 🤍
First and foremost, my heart goes out to couples who have experienced poor communication or been left feeling ghosted by a wedding vendor. Unfortunately, we hear far too often about couples who never receive a response, are left wondering where things stand, or don’t receive the level of care they deserve from our fellow wedding vendors.
At Wildflowers in the Wind, we believe that every couple deserves kindness and communication, even when we aren’t the right fit or aren’t available for their date. If we’re already booked, we’re still happy to congratulate you, wish you the very best, and, when we can, recommend another trusted florist who may be available. 💐
But there’s another side to this that I think is worth mentioning, too.
We also have couples who inquire, schedule consultations, spend time discussing their vision, and sometimes receive a detailed proposal...only for communication to suddenly stop.
And I completely understand that wedding planning can be overwhelming. There are a million decisions to make, emails to answer, and vendors to coordinate. Sometimes plans change, budgets shift, or you simply find someone who feels like a better fit. That’s okay!
All we ask is for a quick message letting us know.
Even a simple, Thank you so much for your time, but we’ve decided to go in another direction,” is incredibly appreciated. It allows us to close the loop, open the date back up, and continue serving other couples who are looking for their wedding florist.
At the end of the day, wedding vendors are people, too. We pour hours of time, creativity, thought, and care into helping make your day special, and we truly appreciate that same consideration in return. 🤍
So here’s to a little more communication, a little more kindness, and remembering that there are real people on both sides of every email. 🌿💐
And to all of our wonderful couples who communicate with us every step of the way: thank you. You make this job so rewarding!
