Day-Of Setup👇

-Create one “WOW” spot (entry table, bar area, or centerpiece on main table)

-Light candles or string lights

-Fill ice buckets and chill drinks

-Stage serving utensils and labels if needed

-Put out party favors, hats, horns, or confetti poppers.

-If you did not make a play list... now is the time to do so. This saves on...Alexa Play.... Alexa Play.... Alexa Play... (allllll night long) you get the point 😉

-Stock all bathrooms with toilet paper, clean hand towels and refill all hand soaps (kitchen AND bathrooms)

Before the Party👇

-Choose a simple color theme (not required to be black & gold)

-Plan easy finger foods (charcuterie, dips, sliders)

-Set up a drink station or signature drink

-Prep playlists early (background → upbeat → countdown)

-Decide where the TV will be for the ball drop

-Stock up on ice, cups, napkins, and paper goods
Set out extra trash bags and paper towels (trust me)

-Clean all areas of your home where guest will be. Now is not the time to declutter your bedroom.

Lets put a Charcuterie Board together.
These boardsnare great for a side dish when attending a party as well as a great appetizer for hosting
We need to stop overthinking charcuterie boards.

So many people get overwhelmed—and it really doesn’t have to be that complicated.
I’ve broken it down into simple, no-stress picks that anyone can put together. Focus on a few basics, not perfection. If people recognize it and enjoy it, you’ve done it right.

Meats (pick 2–4)
Salami (Genoa or hard)
Pepperoni
Honey ham
Smoked turkey
Prosciutto (optional, if you want a little fancy but still familiar)

Cheeses (pick 3–5)
Cheddar (sharp or mild)
Colby Jack or Marble Jack
Swiss
Mozzarella (string cheese or fresh pearls)
Pepper Jack
Gouda
Havarti

Crackers & Breads
Wheat crackers
Ritz or Club crackers
French bread or baguette slices
Pretzel crisps

Fruits (fresh & easy)
Grapes (red or green)
Strawberries
Apple slices (these are only best when cut right before serving, as they will turn brown)
Orange slices or clementines
Blueberries

Veggies (simple & crunchy)
Baby carrots
Celery sticks
Cucumber slices (English ones are great)

Simple Extras (optional but familiar)

Balloons and Confetti 🎈🎉

What would New Year’s Eve be without either?

It’s time to pick out your balloon colors—bonus points if they match your party theme. And remember, not all New Year’s parties have to be black and gold!

Whether you’re hosting or attending (this makes a great surprise), think about fun moments you’ve shared with the people who will be there. Try to write a short, funny memory or story about each person attending. Set a few extra aside just in case surprise guests show up.

Here’s how it works👇
-Take a balloon and add some confetti before inflating

-Write the memory or funny story on a small piece of paper (from 2025, fold it up nice and small)

-Place the paper inside the deflated balloon.
Inflate the balloon (a hand or air pump works best—Dollar Tree has handheld ones) You can also do this with a personal helium tank.

Throughout the night (or leading up to the final ball drop), pop the balloons and read the stories aloud for guaranteed laughs and great memories.

🪩Tip: You can prep these tonight or a few hours before. Scatter these around as decorations OR place in a trash bag and get one out at a time when you decide to start the countdown. The key is to write down FUNNY memories. Its a great laugh before celebrating the new year.

The Dollar Tree is my favorite last-minute go-to. Grab a handful (or more) of those disco ball ornaments!

Here are easy, stylish ways to use small disco balls for a home New Year’s Eve party—perfect for last-minute but intentional decor . Some ideas you'll need to snip off the string 👇🪩

Table & Centerpieces
-Scatter them down the center of the table with candles or tea lights
-Place one or two in a clear vase or bowl with metallic confetti
-Add to a charcuterie board or dessert table for a festive touch

Bar & Drink Station
-Tuck them around bottles on the bar cart
-Use as drink markers or place one at each guest’s glass
-Display at an ice bucket (next to (not in) the ice)

Hanging & Vertical Decor
-Hang from light fixtures, curtain rods, or door frames
-Suspend at different heights in a corner for a mini disco moment
-Tie to balloons or balloon weights

Unexpected Spots
-Place on bathroom counters for a fun surprise
-Style on bookshelves, trays, or coffee tables
-Line a staircase or entry table for instant glam
