Thank you to everyone who attended the Winterfest event at the Library and Friend’s Bookstore! Thanks to you all it was a very successful and fun evening! And a huge thank you to our special guest, Santa Claus, for making time in his busiest week to visit with the children! I know the kids were so excited! And some of the adults too!!

Get ready for an evening full of wintry fun! Kids can enjoy carnival games with a seasonal twist, get their face painted, and enjoy a visit from a surprise guest. Plus enjoy some tasty treats! Bring in a scarf, pair of gloves, or a gently used jacket to donate to earn an entry into our grand prize drawing. Registration is not required. “I am a huge fan of Elin’s books, but this one stood out. I saw they made a TV show based solely on the book, so I rushed to read it before I began watching the show! They are very dynamic characters that will leave you guessing the entire time. It is a fast-paced read, and I highly recommend it!”

She notes:
“House Rules is about a kid with Asperger’s who gets accused of murder. This book explores the challenges of living with someone who has a neurodevelopmental disorder, along with helping fight for justice. The chapters change between first-person points of view between characters, giving you an inside look into how those with developmental issues think.“
