When is the first time you experienced compassion?

Compassion is something we experience in community and often lack.

Only when you feel compassion within yourself you are able to share it with your community.

We explored compassion through art. Each of us started with our own painting and then passed it to the woman next to us until everyone in the group touched each painting - expanding upon the compassion of one another.

This exercise was inspired by doula mentor Barbra Essemen.

I felt so stressed and overworked from life. I needed to find myself and get grounded.

This retreat offered a women’s only opportunity to connect with beautiful souls from all walks of life.

This retreat offered a chance to connect with nature, women, and the very elements that bring us all together.
After spending my time at this yoga retreat I achieved a sense of calm.

I felt like I could breathe again. I noticed how much of life goes by without us taking time to really be.

This retreat, these teachers, brought me to the present moment. I was ready to take on the world again.

I truly had no expectation of what my first yoga retreat would be like, and they far exceeded it.

The genuine desire and love these girls have to get to know everyone on the retreat really shows. I felt SEEN after just a few hours of meeting them. Not only are they wonderful, kind, welcoming souls- they are talented yogis!! I learned so much more about the art of yoga through their dedication to practice.
I will surely be back for another retreat put on by Mycelium Retreat! Thank you girls for changing my life!
