With America’s Semiquincentennial (the fancy word for the 250th anniversary) approaching, holding primary source history hits a little differently.

This is a complete, original July 4, 1976 edition of The New Haven Register from the nation's 200th birthday. It’s not just a clipped front page, it features every single section, the original Bicentennial commemorative insert, the sports section with Bjorn Borg winning Wimbledon, and classic 1970s advertising inserts (hello, Bradlees and KMart).
