📣 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 — 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐝
In 10 years, we’ve never canceled a market, but after watching the forecast closely and exhausting every possible workaround, this weekend’s weather is leaving us no choice.
We’ve made the difficult decision to 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.
The grounds already don’t soak up water well, and with the 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 expected Saturday night and all day Sunday, 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 would make setup and shopping impossible.
Add in 𝟐𝟎 𝐦𝐩𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝟒𝟎 𝐦𝐩𝐡, and it simply isn’t safe for vendors, shoppers, or staff.
We respect our vendors, their products, and all of you too much to risk safety or damage.
𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬. Thank you for your understanding and kindness as we make the best decision we can under tough circumstances.
We’ll be waiting to see everyone at our Christmas markets ! — and we’ll make them AMAZING ❤️
