For those of you who are local in jamesburg and monroe and heard about the fire. That fire happened at Steve's Aunts house. It has been tragic and devastating to their family as well as our family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

We’ve certainly had an eventful July! Between the frequent rain and saturated ground, we’ve had to make some scheduling adjustments to protect our customers’ lawns and avoid causing damage.

As a result, some of our weekly customers will be shifted to a bi-weekly schedule next week while we catch up from the weather delays.

We’re hoping August brings us some drier weather so we can get everyone back on their normal schedule.

If this weather pattern is any indication, it may also be a sign of a busy winter ahead. While it’s impossible to know for sure, now is a great time to start thinking about your snow removal plans before the season arrives.

Due to the air quality from the wildfires we are having a delayed start today. Should anything change we will post another update. Tomorrow looks like it’s going to rain out. With severe storms and lightning and I’ll create another post about that.

So it’s very likely that today’s route will move to Sunday or Monday pending weather.

🌡️ Schedule Update – Thursday Route Moved to Friday 🌫️

Due to today’s extreme heat and poor air quality caused by smoke from the Canadian wildfires, we’ve decided to move Thursday’s mowing route to Friday.

The safety of our crew comes first. Working long hours outdoors in high temperatures while air quality is reduced increases the risk of heat-related illness and respiratory issues, and we don’t believe it’s worth putting our team at risk.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we make this adjustment. We’ll be back out on Friday completing today’s scheduled properties.

🌧️ SCHEDULE UPDATE DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL 🌧️

Yesterday’s storms brought an incredible amount of rain across Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. Many areas received 4–5 inches of rain, with some towns seeing over 6 inches in just one day.

While this much-needed rainfall is great for lawns, trees, and landscaping after the recent stretch of hot weather, it also creates conditions that make mowing unsafe and can damage your lawn.

Although the sun may be out this morning, the ground simply hasn’t had enough time to dry. Many properties remain saturated or have standing water, and additional thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon and evening.

To protect your property and avoid causing ruts or turf damage, MTM Property Maintenance will be adjusting our mowing schedule.

Schedule Changes:
✅ Weekly customers scheduled for today may be moved to next week’s bi-weekly rotation.
✅ This week’s Thursday and Friday routes will be shifted to next Monday and Tuesday as ground conditions allow.

Our goal is always to provide the highest quality service while protecting your lawn—not tearing it up just to stay on schedule.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through Mother Nature’s challenges. We’ll continue monitoring weather and ground conditions and will keep everyone updated if additional changes become necessary.

🌧️ WEATHER UPDATE – MONDAY 7/6 ⚡

Due to today’s thunderstorms, lightning, and the potential for 3”+ of rainfall, our crews will not be mowing today.

While this rain is much needed after last week’s heat and dry conditions, it also means many lawns will become saturated and some may experience standing water or flooding.

🌱 Our priority is protecting your lawn.

Cutting wet grass can:
✅ Damage your turf
✅ Leave deep tire ruts
✅ Cause soil compaction
✅ Result in an uneven cut
✅ Spread lawn disease

With rain expected throughout much of this week, we’ll be monitoring conditions day by day and adjusting our schedule as needed.

📅 Some properties may:
• Be rescheduled later in the week
• Be moved to next week’s bi-weekly route if conditions remain too wet
• Be delayed until lawns are dry enough to safely service

We know schedule changes can be inconvenient, but we’d rather delay your service than risk damaging your property.

☀️ Weather & Holiday Schedule Update – Week of June 29 – July 4 🇺🇸

With temperatures expected to reach 100° on Wednesday and 105° on Thursday, we're making a temporary schedule adjustment to help protect our crews from the extreme heat while also accommodating the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

For this week only:
✅ Operating Monday (6/29), Tuesday (6/30) & Wednesday (7/1)
⚠️ Thursday (7/2) will only be used if we are unable to complete our routes during the first three days.
🇺🇸 Closed Friday (7/3) & Saturday (7/4) in observance of Independence Day.

We'll return to our normal operating schedule beginning the week of July 6.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our crews during this extreme heat.

🌧️ Rain Update & Schedule Adjustment 🌧️

Central New Jersey finally received a much-needed soaking rain over the past 24-48 hours. While the rain may have put a temporary pause on mowing operations, it’s excellent news for lawns, trees, shrubs, gardens, and newly planted landscapes.

The downside is that many properties remain too wet to mow safely. Between yesterday’s rainfall totals, localized flooding concerns, and additional on-and-off rain today, mowing in these conditions can cause rutting, tire damage, soil compaction, and unnecessary stress to your lawn.

To protect our customers’ properties:

✅ Some Tuesday services will be completed tomorrow (Wednesday)
✅ Some bi-weekly customers may be moved to their next scheduled service date
✅ Routes are being adjusted based on ground conditions and accessibility

At this time, we expect to be fully back on our normal schedule by Wednesday.

🚨 WEATHER & HOLIDAY SCHEDULE UPDATE 🚨

Due to today’s forecasted severe weather, including the possibility of heavy rain, strong thunderstorms, damaging wind gusts, flash flooding, and the upcoming July 4th holiday, we will be adjusting our mowing routes over the next two weeks.

Week of 6/22:
All lawn services will be completed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Week of 6/29:
To accommodate the Independence Day holiday, all lawn services will again be completed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Our goal is to ensure every customer is taken care of while also working safely around the weather and holiday schedule.

Should weather conditions force any additional changes, we will communicate updates as soon as possible.
