SIBLEY PRAIRIE UPDATE - SEPT. 10, 2026 - Please Share
HURRAY!
We have now raised more than $750,000 in donations and pledges—putting us three-quarters of the way to our $1 million individual-donor goal! If we can raise the remaining $250,000 through individual donations, we believe we will be in a strong position to complete the Sibley Prairie purchase in December.
It took more than 1,900 individual donations to get us to this point. Thank you, one and all, for helping make this possible!
But we still have work to do. The purchase price for the 440 acres of Sibley Prairie is $6 million, and we still need to raise approximately $3 million to reach that goal. We are continuing to pursue other sources of funding to help close that gap. Several grant applications are pending, and we continue to reach out to potential major donors.
If you are in a position to consider a legacy gift of six or seven figures, please let us know. Your gift could be the one that puts us over the top and enables us to protect Sibley Prairie forever.
Please keep spreading the word about Sibley Prairie. The more people who know about this remarkable place and the opportunity to save it, the better our chances of success.
