If you are looking for a place to start, the R***r 10/22 is a reliable, fun, and cheap place to begin! It is a great beginner rifle with very little recoil. It offers a huge aftermarket to modify it however you want and uses cheap and readily available ammo! If you are interested, reach out! I can get you one for around $250 for the base model!
