Second commission is done. She had a small burn spot hiding under the cake but that is nothing that a good bowl coating with pipe mortar can't fix. The owner wanted a longer stem so I'm happy I was able to accommodate him.

First Commission pipe is done.

Loyd's Deluxe Century old briar Italian made. I was able to find a stem in my stock that fit pretty good and was almost the right size. After some hand fitting and polishing, I think it turned out pretty good. At the very least it is now usable.

Owner wanted me to keep the dents and dings as this was his Great Grandfather's pipe and it adds character.

Both need stems and a good cleaning.

I have finished a Bryson Aluminum pipe and let me tell you that they are not fun. Seems easy enough at first but if you dont clean it often, it can be a bo**er. I can see why they never really took off. Ive included a few before and after pics for reference.

I may keep this one but I would let it go to a someone for the right price. I also have a brand new unsmoked bowl for it.

The Twister is here!!! RUNNNN!!! 😂

I think she turned out beautifully. Some things I wish were different but we are always our worst critic. I chose a tan stain for this oneand I beleive that it shows off the amazing grain of the Strawberry Briar and Osage Orange. I also love how the plateau blends in nicely with the idea of a twister. This will be Number 1 of all the pipes I create. I will be numbering all future pipes starting at 2. I will also be keeping this one.

For those of you interested she measures right at 8" long at the widest part of the tornado. Just over 3 inches tall with a bowl that is 2.5 inches to 3 inches deep at the top of the cone.

Let me know what you think. Im always looking for feedback so that I can improve upon my craft and services.

The Twister pipe, my first custom pipe, is almost finished. The copper ring is on and polished. The Osage Orange adornment is finished and now im just hand fitting the stem and fixing the issues with it. Soon I will polish it and stain it. I should have it completed tonight.
