6 days until baby. And yes I made an appearance at an install today.

Small business owners don’t get maternity leave, they either just stop working and don’t get paid, they hope they’ve bankrolled enough money to coast through it, or, in my case, they just keep working and lean heavily on their team to carry them through when they absolutely can’t. And I’m super confident they will. Wait til you see what they put together today alone.

Please keep us in mind for all of your celebrations, big and small—we are keeping it moving full steam ahead. And we are also hiring so if you know anyone who wants to party with us, please send them my way.

Next we need to talk about the food

My homie Evann Flinchum managed to rope in the fanciest chef of all time Penny For Your Plates to handle all of our savory bites and drinks. My dude is so fancy that they sent me a menu and I was like “I don’t even know what half of this is but I know that I want it.” And as usual, I was right. It was all SO SO SO good and it looked amazing too.

For desserts there was this stunning spread from Blue Crab Cupcakes including cake, cake pops shaped like carrots, and mini cupcakes. The cake was carrot cake, naturally… and was DELICIOUS.

Next up I need to talk about Maryland Photographer | Family + Branding who couldn’t even stay for the shower but swooped in long enough to grab me some photo and video content as well as drop off the most darling handmade (as in with her own hands) magnets as favors, prize gifts specially curated from Your favorite MADE LOCAL boutique & gift shop in Annapolis, blank blocks for people to decorate for baby’s first block set 🥺, newborn diapers for people to write late night messages to me on, AND little coloring and activity books she custom designed to match the theme because I told her I’ve been stressed to the max and I just wanna sit around and color. Even made little matching signs 😭😭😭 Like are you even real life?? If you were a stuffed bunny a fairy would def come and make you real to hop in the forest with the other buns

I have a lot of ground to cover here and so much to be thankful for but I’m starting to share photos from my own baby shower from a few weeks ago finally and first up are the florals by Beverley Stewart Suckling. Bev is my partner Jame’s mom who has a lot of prior experience growing and arranging flowers personally and for events and I knew she’d make these magical. All of the florals here were “home grown” and arranged in patinated silver and pewter vessels from her own personal collection and mine. The shower theme was The Velveteen Rabbit and these not only coordinated wonderfully with invitations I’d designed but also captured the whimsy and mystery of a stuffed bunny becoming real and living out his days in the forest PERFECTLY.

We are so excited to welcome this new store to Annapolis and truly appreciate their generosity and commitment to giving back to our community and supporting our Panthers!
