I saw a post a few minutes ago that asked,"What go you interested in building guitars?"

My answer: Covid and whiskey and cokes. The first guitar i ever built needs refinished, but is "usable". I'm not a musician. I'm a carpenter. I'm a lover of music. Am I an aficionado? .... no. I can't tell the difference between a lot of things. I know what I like, don't like and love. I started building because I wanted my friends to not have to lug their instruments to our house. Turns out, that's harder said than done. What I did get in return was an incredible sense of satisfaction. When you finally hand someone something that you made from a tree. Any comment is a good comment. They made some kind of music out of it. Right or wrong. Chances are good it's wrong. Lol yet... when it's not... there is no substitute. That's why I do what I do.
