Each tomten is lovingly made from locally raised wool — dyed, felted, and finished with a dainty little heart hidden beneath… a secret token of love and Christmas cheer. ❤️

Founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1922, Mindekirken remains the only congregation in America holding weekly services primarily in Norwegian. For over 100 years, they’ve preserved language, faith, and cultural traditions, serving as a living memorial to Norwegian heritage.

Today’s Julekalender — with 18 days until Christmas — celebrates the Danish American Center! 🇩🇰🎄

The DAC has been part of our story since the very beginning—hosting an outreach table and bringing Danish vendors into our Nordic Julemarket family in our very first year. We’re grateful to the DAC for their amazing support of the Danish and broader Nordic community and also Nordic Julemarket.

The Danish American Center serves as a vibrant home for Danish-American cultural, educational, social, and charitable programs. Their mission to promote friendship, connection, and understanding between the USA and Denmark beautifully reflects the heart of our collective Nordic roots and the spirit of the holiday season.
