Although I lack space in my humble shop to service amplifiers on a regular basis, I always enjoy upgrading these Fender Champion 600’s. In addition to carefully chosen circuit mods, we install a better output transformer, a more breathable grill cloth, premium vacuum tubes and a high quality Weber speaker. The results are astonishing. I would put this up against amps five times the price. I wonder if Jeff Tweedy uses his.

I wonder if the folks at ProCo regret using these absolute garbage pots in their more recent Rat variant. Even after applying gentle heat, these things break. Luckily, better quality replacements are available and this will live to rock another day.

Our modification service for the Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer adds vintage NOS composite film resistors to the circuit for the 808 spec mod. We also add a relay-based true bypass circuit and a boost - which can be used together or independently from the Tube Screamer. It’s a labor-intensive mod to do correctly but the results are worth it!

Rarely do I offer up complete, modified pedals these days. However, I had this ProCo Rat sitting in the shop and I decided to give it the full mod treatment. Circuit mods for improve bass, smoother gain and quieter operation. ‘Dead Bat’ dying 9V battery simulator. Diode clipping toggle switch. Upgraded k***s and bright blue LED. DM if you are interested.
