ISEFA – The Hand of Ifá
Isefa, also known as “The Hand of Ifá,” is one of the most important and foundational ceremonies in the Ifá tradition. It is performed throughout the world wherever Ifá is practiced.
Who Is Ifá?
Ifá is the sacred wisdom tradition of the Yoruba people, guided by Orunmila, the Orisha of wisdom, destiny, and divine knowledge. Ifá holds the teachings of creation, spiritual balance, human purpose, and destiny alignment. Through Ifá we receive clarity, guidance, and protection as we walk our spiritual path.
What Is ISEFA and Why Is It Important?
Isefa is the ceremony through which a person receives their personal Odu, the sacred scripture that reveals:
• Your spiritual and destiny blueprint
• The energies supporting your life
• The challenges you must avoid or overcome
• Your strengths, taboos, and divine instructions
