I harvested some beautiful mushrooms today including blue oyster, yellow oyster and snow oyster, shiitake and a few Lions Mane. If you want a 3 lb box or if you want to swing by and get a smaller amount let me know and I will try to accommodate you. I am growing at home in my greenhouse now but I can still meet you down at the Mountain View Mushroom Farm .

Good morning friends! I just can't stop...I have had so many people reaching out to me about my beautiful shrooms. I am trying something different, and so far it looks like in the next few days or a week I may have some shrooms for those who really love them! I am growing on a much smaller scale in a small greenhouse I have put up at my residence. I am keeping them humid, and controlling the temperature the best I can. I'm starting off small but will expand if the need shows itself. At this time I am looking at shiitake, lion's mane, blue oyster, and hopefully a little later some snow oyster and enoki mushrooms. If you are interested I may be showing up at a farmers market at Harmans with my mushrooms when I have them, and as always you can contact me for a deal on a 3 lb box or more, or even a smaller amount if it's worth it to you to drive out here to get them. I thank you all for your kind words and your encouragement. I have enjoyed the mushrooms more than anyone knows and not quite ready to give it totally up yet! I am not going through all the rigmarole and costs of certifications and what not, however my substrate comes to me, as always, certified organic from Maine Cap 'n Stem, and are grown with nothing other than love, passion, and tender care - and water of course - here in my greenhouse! It is with great sadness that I must let you know that, going forward, I will not be operating Mountain View Mushroom Farm. This took a lot of thought and consideration on my part; I just can't sell enough mushrooms. If I can find a way to grow without my costs being so high, and increase my orders, I would consider operating again in the future; but at this time it is just not working, the past 2 years have been a struggle. I gave it 5 and 1/2 years. I went from 22 restaurants and 4 markets, to 3 restaurants and only 1 market upon closing for the season. My costs rose substantially, and I raised my prices minimally, and still not able to make it work. A lot of work, time, love, and passion have gone into growing my beauties these past seasons. And I appreciate, more than you know, those of you out there who purchased my beautiful mushrooms to use in your restaurants or sell in your establishments! And all of you friends who came to the farm and bought my mushrooms, and joined me for our open houses, thank you so much. All of you, thank you for your support. I wish it had kept up and continued to at least pay for itself. No one is more disappointed and sad than I am...🥺 A special thanks to my friend and collaborator Jay Kra...let me know what you're doing this summer with the shrooms!💙
