There’s something exciting happening around here… 🩵🪺

At our Ribbon Cutting, Open House, and Anniversary Celebration this week, we quietly shared a little announcement that has been a long time coming…

The T Shed is officially becoming… The Nest.

Almost four years ago, when we first opened our little venue in Morris, we fell in love with the name The T Shed. It was the perfect fit at the time—a fun play on “she shed,” a nod to my sweet friend and partner Tammy of Two T’z, and a tribute to the fact that the property had once been home to a tea house. It held so much meaning, and it became the place where so many wonderful memories began.

Then, when I was blessed with the opportunity to take over the sister white house and create The Byrd House, I never considered changing the T Shed’s name. I wanted people to connect me with the business and community we had worked so hard to build.

But over the past year, we’ve realized something…

Some people assumed the T Shed had simply been renamed The Byrd House, when in reality, we have two separate venues right here on our property, each with its own personality and purpose.

I still remember sharing the name The Byrd House with friends and family before we opened. Everyone loved the meaning behind it, but one dear, sweet friend immediately said, “You know what you should do? Rename the T Shed… The Byrd Nest!” Thank you, Amy Beard!

The second I heard it, I absolutely loved it.

I just knew the timing wasn’t right.

Now, one year later, it finally is.

So today, we’re so excited to officially introduce…

🪺 The Nest 🪺

The same quaint, charming space you’ve always loved—just with a name that feels like it truly belongs in our Byrd House family. It ties everything together and better reflects the vision we’ve been building.

This is just the beginning! We have so many exciting things planned for the rest of 2026, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Until then, enjoy a peek at The Nest all dressed up this week for a Mahjong gathering. We can’t wait to welcome you back to our favorite little space—with a fresh new name and the same heart that’s been there from the beginning. 🩵🪺

If you haven’t reached out yet but are still interested in potentially working with us at Byrd House Events, send us a private message and I’ll be happy to send over the details!

The meeting begins at 6:00 tonight. It won’t be long, but it will give you all the information you need and answer lots of questions about what’s happening around Byrd House Events.

If you can’t make it tonight, I’m going to do my very best to offer another meeting Sunday at 6:00.
