This coming week is the start of our bag and purse event! July 28th through August 8th we will be spotlighting all of the bags, purses, and backpacks that get donated year round. Come in and pick something up for back to school or that special occasion you’ve been looking forward to!

Meet Anne Smith! Our second Volunteer in our spotlight series, we are so excited to introduce her. Anne has been volunteering at Second Chance for 3 years, after spending many more as a nurse. You’ll find her in the back in our marking room between the childrens department and the housewares room. She likes volunteering at Second Chance because she enjoys having a pleasant experience and time to chat with co-volunteers while doing something purposeful to support the community. When she’s not at Second Chance she enjoys being outdoors, cross country skiing or playing tennis. Make sure to say “Hi!” to Anne next time you see her.

Our 50 cent sale continues with new things being added every day!
Friday is freebie Friday with specially marked bins and racks being FREE. Additionally we have lots of item in front of the store for FREE.
Our Adult summer reading program continues all summer long with all adult books being FREE! Stock up with amazing reads!

Volunteer Spotlight! Today we are so excited to introduce Cindi! Cindi is one of our front end volunteers so you'll see her first thing when you walk through the door. Cindi has been volunteering for Second Chance for two years after receiving a recommendation from the hospital. Beforehand, she spent many years working with high school students who had special needs. However she says that 40 years ago she was also working in another thrift store making this a full circle kind of work for her. Cindi is incredibly dedicated to the work that we do, she says that her favorite part of working at Second Chance is because we provide a service to the community and she loves to see people find amazing things at a fair price.

Cindi loves to do anything outside from cutting wood and gardening to hiking and kayaking, when she's not at Second Chance you'll find her being active somewhere.

Make sure to say "Hi!" to Cindi next time you see her!

Celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary with a 50 cent housewares sale. Specialty marked housewares items are just 50 cents all this week! You’ll find them on the table in the infant room and on the table in the men’s department.
