“What’s going on with silver?? Is brass still cool??”
I’ve been getting asked this more and more! My answer:
⬆️ Silver
⬇️ Mediocre brass (yeah, I said it, some brass is mid!)
✅ Good pieces will always be good!
Are more people learning to love silver? Yes. But was quality silver “out”? I don’t think so! And while brass for brass’ sake is declining, the good ones are here to stay. At the end of the day, buy what you love! But also don’t be afraid to mix your metals! A little more balance and contrast helps everything shine.
Here’s how I’ve been incorporating silver in my home this summer:
1. Revere bowl with hydrangeas on a small silver plate (I’ve used it as a large coaster under a few vases!)
2. Pedestal dish to contain my watches and necklaces
3. Pitcher full of big blooms
4. Julep cup to display my mother-of-pearl collection
