You guys.

I gotta be honest. I’m a little burnt out on social media. It is such a rat race. A necessary evil for small businesses.

But still. Woof. I struggle every time I transition from the school year to summer and summer to the school year.

And so here we are. I’m trying to find a new rhythm and as such, social media is on the back burner.

In the meantime, here is my sweet perfect girl on her first day of preschool (year 2).

Honestly, the loss was not as bad as I expected when I was able to get to the booth yesterday at America'sAntiqueMallHighland

A few crunchy leaves and definitely some plants that I had to toss altogether but it could have been much worse.

Now I have to figure out how to get my Hoya inventory at home some lights from the generator so I don’t lose any of that. We are not expecting power to be restored until 8/25.

Take care of one another! If there is anything I can do for those of you who are local, please reach out!

America'sAntiqueMallHighland is without power and had to make the difficult decision to postpone Friday’s market.

The national guard is currently working in my neighborhood to remove debris so the electrical company can start their work.

We are a little in shock. No one in our neighborhood was hurt but houses are damaged badly. Some beyond repair.

The silver lining has been the reminder of how GOOD people are. How everyone has jumped in with whatever supplies they have to share their blood, sweat and tears. Created in God’s image, indeed.
