Nazareth's annual Kazoo Parade is happening this Saturday at 9am! Wanna know the best part? Snowie will be there!!

Come to the parade and cool off with a Snowie in this heat wave. We'll see you there! 🍧😋

Celebrate July 4th with a beloved Nazareth tradition - the Annual Kazoo Parade! Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Parade participants begin gathering at the Nazareth Area High School on Center Street at 8:00 a.m. and the parade steps off at 9:00 a.m.

This year, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps will lead the parade. A fife and drum corps is a musical ensemble consisting of fifes (wooden flute) and rope tension drums.

Did you know that during the Revolutionary War, fifers and drummers were used to communicate and to signal orders? Musicians would wear the opposite colored uniforms of fighting soldiers so they could easily be found by commanding officers and identified as noncombatants. This is why Revolutionary War themed fife and drum corps are often confused as the British because their coats are red instead of blue.

Following the parade, the Brandywine Colonials will start the Patriotic Program with the Star Spangled Banner.

Join us on the grounds of the Moravian Historical Society for the Nazareth Celebrates America 250 festival following the Kazoo Parade.
