It’s been about a week and a half since we had to say goodbye to my Brewski.

Today I was working on orders, trying to keep moving forward. I got to the middle of my freshly sewn stack of bandanas… and there it was.

One single Brewski hair.

Maybe to some people it’s just a dog hair.

To me, it was exactly what I needed in that moment.

Working without him physically by my side has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But finding that little hair reminded me that love doesn’t disappear. Whether you believe it’s a sign, a coincidence, or simply a beautiful reminder, it gave me the strength to keep going.

This business will always have Brewski’s paw prints all over it. Every bandana, every collar, every dream I continue to build carries a piece of him with it.

His legacy isn’t over.

Thank you my guardian angel. I’ll keep moving forward, carrying your love with me every single day. 💛🐾🌈

Many of you know Brewski. Some of you may know him as the face behind the treats, the one who was always nearby while I worked, or the very important official treat tester of It’s a Four Legged World.

But to me, he was so much more.

Brewski was my sole dog, my protector, my constant, and my best friend for 12 years.

From the moment I saw his picture as a tiny puppy, I knew he was mine. When I went to meet the litter, all of the other puppies were running around, but Brewski crawled onto my lap, laid there, and looked at me.

We chose each other.

He was there during the long nights of planning, dreaming, creating, and wondering if I could really make this dream work. He was there while I built It’s a Four Legged World. He was my treat tester, my company mascot, my quiet companion, and one of the biggest inspirations behind everything I do.

This business was built out of my love for animals, and so much of that love came from him.

Brewski reminded me every day of the joy, comfort, loyalty, and unconditional love that our pets bring into our lives. He was a constant reminder of why the little things matter. Why a treat can make a tail wag. Why a bandana can make a dog feel special. Why our pets are not “just pets.”

They are family.

Brewski was my family.

Today, my heart is broken. There is a piece of my heart missing, and I know I will feel his absence in this business, in my home, and in every part of my life.

But I also know that a piece of him will always be here.

In every treat I make.
In every bandana I create.
In every bow tie.
In every dog I get to spoil.
In every pet parent who loves their animal as deeply as I loved him.

Brewski was part of the heart of It’s a Four Legged World.

He was my first customer, my most loyal taste tester, my inspiration, and my best friend.

Thank you for choosing me twelve years ago, my boy.

I will carry you with me forever.

A piece of my heart will always be with you.
