Meet Kenneth Kuehner, our Lead Upfit & Service Specialist - Heart and Soul of Hawkes Outdoors!

Kenneth’s perfect day outside is pretty simple, camping near the water with friends and family. He likes getting away from it all, but there’s nothing wrong with being a little cozy when you get there.

We asked what camper van feature best matched his personality. His answer? A rooftop tent, because it’s always ready to go. We respect that.

Road trip snacks start with jerky. The playlist starts with John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” And the one thing he admits to overpacking is safety equipment. Not the worst habit for someone helping you get adventure-ready.

Zion is at the top of his bucket list. Give him 72 hours and a full tank, and he’s heading for Sedona’s slickrock.

But what Kenneth loves most about the outdoors is how it brings people together from all different walks of life. Here at Hawkes, his favorite part is watching a customer’s excitement build as the planning and prep bring their adventure closer.

His advice for your first big trip?

“Don’t overthink it, a good adventure is always found around an unexpected turn.”

September 11th is a reminder to remember the lives lost, the people who ran toward danger, and the strength that came from a country standing together.

One of the things we love about being here is getting to support other local businesses, and Muck & Fuss always takes care of us.
