Adrienne Fleming grew up in a dance studio. It was her world—her rhythm, her identity—and she always assumed she would pursue dance in college. But a visit to Vanderbilt shifted her path. She chose a more traditional route, building a career in marketing within a finance company.

Life Changing Question - Should we take a step back for a moment?
Anger can be a dangerous emotion but before we say or do something that we may regret, can you take a moment. It’s hard to take a breath and step back in a heated discussion. Podcaster Jefferson Fisher has great advice on handling difficult situations. He suggests responding with calmness and recommends fully taking in aggressive comments before responding. He also suggests using a question to diffuse a situation. “Can you explain to me what you just said?”
