This gold 1806 $5 RD 6 7X6 is known as a Draped Bust Half Eagle, and is a true rarity. Not only is it over 200 years old, but it's also one of the most unique and sought-after coins of its time. What makes the Draped Bust Half Eagle so special for collectors is that it is one of the first $5 gold coins ever minted by the United States government. These types are also incredibly rare because only a handful are known to exist today. It's estimated that only a few hundred of these coins survive, making it a true treasure for any collector lucky enough to get their hands on one.
In 1806 Draped Bust Half Eagles were minted with several different die state varieties. This very fine 30 PCGS graded 1806 $5 RD 6 7X6 variety has an awesome natural toned color. The RD stands for "Reduced Diameter", which means that the coin was struck on a planchet that was smaller than the standard size for the denomination. The "6 7x6" refers to the placement of the stars on the coin, indicating that there are 6 stars on one side of the coin and 7 on the other, with the 6th and 7th stars being closer to each other.

The 1901 $10 Bison Legal Tender Note is a highly sought-after piece of American currency that is considered one of the most beloved banknotes of all time. These beautiful notes feature a striking red seal on the left side and a portrait of none other than Alexander Hamilton, one of America's founding fathers. Each note features an illustration of a North American bison, as well as vignettes of the leaders of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and the back features an image of Columbia, the female personification of the United States. This image perfectly captures the spirit of the American frontier and the abundance of wildlife that existed at the time.
These notes are extremely rare and were only printed in small quantities, and many were not well-preserved over the years. Most were taken out of circulation and destroyed, making surviving examples even more scarce. It is estimated that only several thousand notes exist today, including those in poor condition. As a result, Bison notes are highly sought-after by collectors!

The 1863 Civil War Token coin is a fascinating piece of history. During the Civil War, the Union government banned the use of gold and silver in coins which caused a shortage of currency. In order to solve this problem, private businesses began issuing their own tokens, which could be used as currency. The 1863 Civil War Token coin is an example of one of these private issued coins.

These tokens were made of cheaper metals like copper and were produced in large numbers. However, due to the chaos of the war, many of them were lost, damaged or destroyed. It is important to note that Civil War Tokens were not widely accepted after the war, which caused many individuals to throw these coins away.

The 1863 Civil War Token coin is a unique reminder of a difficult time in American history. It's a little piece of history that you can hold in your hand. Imagine all the different hands that coin has been passed through and all the different stories it could tell.

The 1922 Large Note Gold Certificates are highly sought after by collectors today. This 64 EPQ example shown is particularly rare because of its high grade and paper quality. Only supreme notes that have never been washed, ironed or cleaned to alter the note's appearance are awarded the coveted EPQ designation by Paper Money Grading company. The EPQ designation refers to the note having an Excellent Paper Quality. The 64 grade indicates that this is an uncirculated near-perfect note. These certificates were part of the series of gold certificates that were issued between 1882 and 1928 and were intended for use as a form of currency that could be easily converted to gold.
