WE ARE ONE!
Together we, of all ages stand in solidarity to show our support for Womxn's Equality. We acknowledge our past as we move towards a collective future inclusive of womxn of color, transgender womxn & men, womxn with disabilities & womxn from all ages, religious faiths and backgrounds. We wear yellow and gold as a nod to earlier feminist symbolism, while expressing our hope and desires for the movement today. Different cities nationwide have joined the movement and we're proud to share the New Orleans, Louisiana Edition!

“We are New Orleanians - we’re known to let the good times roll. We welcome everyone and our motto is to “be nice or leave.” Our rich traditions include early feminism, dating all the way back to the 1700s. Womxn like Eliza Jane Poitevent Holbrook Nicholson, Justine Fervin Couvent, Henriette DeLille or Marie Laveau were self-autonomous business and property owners in a "man’s" world. This city would not be what it is today without all of the womxn that have come together to build it both as its creation and after Hurricane Katrina. Today, we continue to build New Orleans, whether through dismantling systems of discrimination or shifting local and global statistics of social and political oppressions. We are mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, colleagues, friends, girlfriends, business owners, doctors, educators, lawyers, politicians, healers, musicians, artists, activists, movers and shakers who believe this work begins with true, all-inclusive feminism.
