We love public art, especially free Shakespeare by the boardwalk, with actors and non-actors, at the edge of New York City.

Holland Avenue Soap Co. is a proud sponsor of Rockaway’s beloved shakespeare_on_the_rocks—the punk rock theater brigade returning July 16-19 for their third season, with live performances of Much Ado About Nothing. Shows begin at 6 p.m. nightly.

Come enjoy this new midsummer theatrical phenomenon that connects us all. Done the Rockaway way, which is to say, just show up and you’ll love it.

Natural clays are found in just about every bar soap that comes off our curing shelf. From the outset, it felt like getting let in on a secret—that bar soaps can be fortified with natural clays, which not only give them earthy, grounding color, but also work to absorb extra oil and impurities from skin.

No hate on soaps in neon colors or with intricate designs, sometimes made with pigments or micas—that’s just not what I’m doing. The allure of natural clay like this French green clay—its benefits and the aesthetic—just has been too much to pass up from day one.

This is the reason Holland Avenue Soap Co. bar soaps have always and will always look like the natural elements they came from.

One part seed swap, one part plant sale—all parts community. Come to the plant sale at the this Sunday froM 11-2, and check in with your community garden.

Put on annually by the gardeners themselves, this has become an annual spring garden event that’s gathered the community and celebrated the seasons.

You can find plants, seeds, and the soap stand with the best of our olive oil+essential oil soaps, plus a very limited number of garden lollipops—all beside Bella’s Lemonade.

The Deep Sea bar soaps are infused with garden-grown rosemary and mint, giving the olive oil base with a deep, earthy herbal infusion.
