How to attend New York fashion week from the best seats in the house? Behind the scenes 📸👀 Some of my favorite NYFW experiences have been behind the scenes at runways shows seeing what REALLY goes into producing the runway from making quick sewing and fitting adjustments, dressing models, capturing content, interviewing the design team, & more. A big thank you to Tia Adeola , Evan Hirsch , DWARMIS , Art Hearts Fashion , Threads of Tech , Eloquence Productions , Runway 7 , & more for trusting me over the past few seasons 🖤

Tips for working bts during fashion week:
- Have your resume, portfolio, and instagram up to date with relevant skills and projects for roles you want during nyfw
- Follow your favorite designers, or agencies, casting agencies, & more because they post opportunities on their stories
- Join my ‘The Fashion Club’ broadcast channel for NYFW events and opportunities
- Email brands with a brief bio, your relevant experience, how you can help, & attach your resume and portfolio. Keep it concise and professional 📝
- Don’t forget to follow up (only once). They get a lot of inquiries so bringing your email back to the top of their inbox gives another opportunity.
- Havn’t heard back from anyone? Don’t worry, you can find last minute opportunities during fashion week. Network, be kind., have good energy and you will attract the opportunities your desire 🖤

Interview with designer DWARMIS during her NYFW presentation in February 🧡 Thank you to PURPLE & Dwarmis Concepcion for having me and making the time 🙏🏾

Last season, got a chance to chat with Dwarmis about the inspiration behind her FW26’ Collection titled: TIERRA that was unveiled at New York Fashion Week. What I saw during the presentation was an overwhelming sense of tranquility, a warm embrace of colors, & a commitment to reimagining natural fire materials.

The brand designs effortless womenswear that is for the modern woman and is unapologetic about its Latin roots. Proudly made by immigrants- and I think I’m speaking for everyone when I say: I NEED THAT shirt. Please put it into production 😍

So if you want to know what it’s really like at NYFW Presentations, Runway Shows, & a behind the scenes, it all starts with a designers vision & audacity to imagine a work with their clothes in it. Thank you to the Dwarmis team for inviting me into theirs 🧡

As exciting as it is to see the vigor behind the hunt of “going to nyfw”, it’s important to understand why YOU specifically want to go? The answer to this question will be the unlock to navigating which brands and designers to pitch to and what pop ups are right for you. Here are some helpful tips on going to nyfw:

1. Set clear goals and intentions for the week

2. Turn on post notifications for your favorite designers, brands, or agencies, & creators (like me 😉) who share event updates on their IG stories and broadcast channels

3. Keep up to date on NYFW related hashtags like: & more as these are used by event planners to post flyers

4. Pages like nyfw shows | nyc events | fashion opportunities Rebeka @ NYC for FREE & Up Next (fashion oops broadcast channels) share events and opportunities for creatives going on in the city for fashion week

5. Reach out to your nyc network as relationships are everything and you should be maintaining good ones

6. Remember to have fun and your going to the city that never sleeps. No matter what you do the energy in the city is electric so treat everyday like the world is your runway ✨

Might be the real winners of the NBA Finals 🏆 The masterful marketing of the Tux Clutch Mini that has been worn by Jordyn at every single one of the games the Knicks won during the NBA finals 💙🧡 So much so that fans have now
made the bag synonymous with the win thanking Jordyn for wearing it, naming her their good luck charm, & more importantly buying the bag 🍀

Robert Wun was by far the stand out designer from the 2026 Met Gala: Fashion Is Art 🖤 The London based designer from Hong Kong was the first designer of Hong Kong descent to showcase a collection at Paris Haute Couture for SS23, and has since become synonymous with his intricate designs that play with ideas of life, death, and transforming the body. At the Met Gala he leaned into the relationship between fashion and the body (the theme of the exhibition Costume Art) to create 8 distinct looks for his guests:
