Look in the mirror, that’s your competition...YOU.
From younger years to older years, you tend to compare yourself with others which tap into your core beliefs around your body image and __ yourself. For me, my body WAS the focus of my identity. Through being exposed to unrealistic ideals in social media outlets, my peers, and my own culture, it created core beliefs that I wasn’t good enough, that I was a failure for not reaching my body size goals, that maybe I wasn’t worthy of that “ideal” look.
Challenging those core beliefs of yourself and your body will bring peace and will allow you to start to accept all of you, flaws and all. Self-love is an ongoing journey that I choose to make time for.
Something that helped me stay sane during the high tide of the pandemic was showing gratitude every day while planning different goals throughout the week. Three different planners helped me keep my mind busy and closer to my goals little by little. The self-love planner(all in one) helps you be very clear and specific about what you are trying to accomplish with your life and creating an action plan to follow every day. It allows you to breakdown bigger goals into smaller goals , and celebrate the small victories.
Ask yourself today: Am I becoming someone who is better than I was yesterday? Are you becoming a better person of character ? Are you more determined to reach your goals today than yesterday? Did I fill my love tank today?
It alll starts with YOU.
