Good MORNING friends!

Fall and Winter Calendar is filling up!

I am completely BOOKED ALL WEEKENDS thru OCTOBER.

I love and appreciate your support! I’m one lone lady in this business and I can sometimes take a few small jobs on the same day but it depends on a few factors (refrigeration, timing, the rest of the week). I operate in a way that is sustainable to me and doesn’t have me spinning so many wheels that the quality of my service declines. I want everyone to get my 💯

That said, I get a lot of requests for the same dates. I book the first person to commit with a menu, guest count and deposit. I correspond about catering thru my email to organize the requests and refer to them. All in one place is SO NICE. It’s [email protected]

Anyone notice the FRESH GREEN CHICKPEAS at Kroger last week? When I was farming in California we grew all kinds of shell beans (fresh and dried) and I miss them SO MUCH. So I was ecstatic to find these.

A labor of love to get all the peas out of their pods but once you do - 5 minutes in some salted boiling water and they are good to go! Make a dip, or eat with with rice and veggies.

I made a salad with wakame (seaweed), roast chicken and broccoli with a miso dressing. The health benefits of this meal…fermented food (miso), sea minerals, lean protein, complex carb (broccoli) some pepitas for crunch and flavor is everything!

You can join me this coming Friday at 7pm for a short Lecture at Esoterica where I’ll be chatting with you about 5 element meal planning which combines the traditional Chinese 5 elements as they relate to taste and color to create balanced and satisfying meals. THIS style of thoughtful and nourishing eating is a huge reason why I chose the culinary school I attended which I lovingly call my “hippie cooking school”. I hope to see you there!

We’re so excited to host you at this hidden gem of a location in Wheeling September 24, 2026.

This event is made partially possible through a partnership grant from Wheeling Heritage so a huge shout out and thank YOU to them for all they do to further community in Wheeling!

The supper includes a 4 course meal with starters, mocktail, coffee and teas.

There will be readings before supper from 3 local writers. Christina Fisanick, Laura Jackson & CJ Farnsworth.

What’s on the menu? That depends on what’s in season! We are designing the menu around what we can procure from local producers THAT WEEK. What I CAN tell you is that it will be abundant and delicious. There will be options for omnivores and vegetarians alike. Soup, fresh salads, welcome bites and seasonal desserts. The heart of the meal will be local grass fed beef sliders (and Locally grown organic bean sliders) on homemade buns with an array of house made condiments and pickles.

“A Meadow Supper” is a special event I’m throwing with my friend Hannah Hedrick, the talented artist behind Spore Print Press.

We will present a performance of original material by Wheeling writers and a seasonal supper outdoors at Grow Ohio Valley’s Lincoln Farm Site (East Wheeling).

I’m very excited to present this supper as a celebration of local food and close knit community. The meal will include soup, salads, a main course and dessert as well as a seasonal mocktail, herbal tea and coffee. There will be plenty of options for vegetarians and omnivores alike.

You guys know I love to share good food with you. With a double hot dog cart weekend ahead, I had to head to Pittsburgh for Sabrett’s (the ONLY hotdogs I serve) so I stopped for lunch.

I finally got to try A Slice of New York pizza. That’s the name of the shop. I tried out their “square” location on the high line in the Southside. 10/10 amazing sourdough pizza! The crust is perfectly light and airy and the toppings, divine. Highly recommend next time you’re in town.

I’m working through a list of Pittsburgh pizza joints and if you didn’t know, it’s a top tier pizza city by my findings. As a former New Yorker, that’s saying a lot.
