The sun is shining, the snow is finally melting and the spring trunk show season is here! The lovely Yan of has invited me for a trunk show for the and I could not be more excited! I’ll be there by midday Thursday and all day Friday and I hope that table is really big because I’m loading the bags and bringing all my favorite bases and colors. This will be my first visit to Forever Yarn and what an amazing way to kick off the season. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Something really special has hit the Murky Depths shop. Lisa and I have the honor of offering an amazing yarn created by the yarn whisperer herself, for a second time.
This one is a USA grown and milled 100% Cormo bulky and it is true perfection. At about 120 yards per 100 gram skein, it’s beyond soft but still has amazing body. Swipe to the second slide to see its beautiful stitch definition. That adorable sweater is the Nordic Bloom vest by
Quantities of this base are extremely limited and once it’s gone, it’s gone. And since clearly winter isn’t done with us yet, you still have time to knock out a sweater or cozy accessories before the tulips bloom.

I’m obsessed. I’ve only been dyeing Dear John on Harbour Singles since, checks notes, Spring 2018 AKA my first season in business. I can’t explain why it took me until now to try it on Triton MCN DK and mohair. Sometimes I’m just a little bit slow. It’s now here to stay.

Singles lovers unite!!!
I’m a part of a smaller subset of yarn lovers who are Team Singles. You might not be able to pick us out of a crowd but we’re everywhere 😂. So when I was prepping for Vogue Knitting Live I knew I had to add some new colors on Harbour (merino singles fi*****ng) since it’d been too long since I had.
The Drab Knight was an obvious choice, a recent update to an old favorite.
Finally had a chance to dye another batch post show and get it photo’ed and listed in the shop.

Withered, withered everywhere. Inspired by the late autumn decay on my favorite rose bushes, shriveled brown leaves, dessicated blooms and emerging rose hips. Beauty in decay.
I’ve spun half my braid and restocked the yarn on Harbour singles, Deep Sock, Neptune DK and mohair. If you’d like to spin your own, shoot me a message, I know I have at least one braid on Polwarth and Silk and one of Corriedale. The yarn bases are all stocked in my Etsy shop.

I did a thing. I didn’t know for sure the thing would work out but figured it was well worth the risk. It was 🤩.
Scattershot is now available on Yakapaca, my alpaca, merino, silk & yak lace weight blend. Sub anywhere mohair silk lace is called for. For folks like me who can’t tolerate mohair next to their skin, it’s a game changer. Shown with Yakima Fi*****ng in Prince of Darkness, I think I need a sample in this combo post haste!

I truly love these bases and foresee them popping up again down the road, but for now I just have to say goodbye.

Found this Withered on Polwarth and Tussah silk got a little gnarly when I was braiding it up for Vogue Knitting and was Just. So. Mad . it didn’t pass QC and I had no choice to snag it for myself 😃! So disappointed that I’m taking a few days off to recover from the show and I’m going to have to spin it up. Sacrifices.

Another Vogue Knit Live in the bag and it was the best ever! So much fun, worth the incredible amount of work that went into it. Was great seeing so many friends, colleagues and crafters but most importantly, my heart is bursting with thanks for my gang of friends and family that help me pull off these big shows. They’re always willing to drop their lives for a few days to be there for me, cannot ask for more than that. 🥹 Shout out to ._.l and most of all, Mr. Murky. He keeps us alive and thriving while I do my thing.

Sharon Hartley just published her new Elbrook sweater, designed using my Targhee worsted (non superwash). Sharon, her original sample and this test knit by will all be in my booth at Vogue Knitting Live NYC. Can’t wait for you to see it and chat with Sharon. Market opens at 5:00 PM and now I need to brave the cold and go hang a million billion skeins of yarn. I’m on the 5th floor, booths 210-214.
