There are moments when you can actually feel community being built around you. Last Sunday was one of them.
Year three is in the books. The 3rd Annual Capital Region Activated Artist Fest was more than a schedule of workshops, performances, films, conversations, and presentations. It was a space where people could see themselves reflected in the art, discover someone or something new, meet people they may never have crossed paths with otherwise, and be reminded that there is a place for them in this creative community.
To every presenter who trusted us with your work, every performer who stepped onto the stage, every volunteer who helped make the day move, every partner and supporter who believed in the vision, and every person who walked through those doors, you are part of what we are building.
A special thank you to the Arts Center of the Capital Region, in Troy, for the space and trust in this work.
