Most rooms are designed around furniture.

The artwork is often the last decision.

I've always believed that's backwards.

The strongest pieces don't simply occupy a wall. They influence how a space feels, how people move through it, and what they remember after they leave.

When artwork has presence, the room changes.

Not because it matches the décor.

Because it gives the space a point of view.

What was the first thing you noticed?

Harlem World Magazine wrote about Unapologetic Faces yesterday.

The feature names The Awakening, the work permanently archived at Goddard Riverside. It names the 30 percent of all series sales committed to their programming. And it places this work inside the Harlem tradition of art that gives back to the community it came from. That's exactly where I've been trying to put it.

Harlem World has been documenting this neighborhood for over two decades. They cover the institutions, the artists, and the people who shape this place. Being written about by the publication that documents home is a recognition I won't forget. To everyone who attended the debut, shared the work, or quietly told someone about it, this one belongs to you too.

Collectors don’t guess value—they establish it.

Serious acquisition requires clarity: documented worth, market position, and long-term protection. Appraisal is not optional. It defines how a work is held, insured, and placed within a collection.

If you acquire art, you need to understand its value—before and after the purchase.

A work hangs on a wall for years. No one knows what it's worth.

That's the moment collectors realize: appraisal matters.

We just published the complete guide to art appraisal—why it matters, the five-stage process, and how serious collectors protect their collections.

Every Unapologetic Faces piece comes with certificate of authenticity, full provenance, and exhibition documentation.

You're not just buying art. You're acquiring the foundation.

I’m artist present Fridays from 5–8 PM through March 27, 2026 at The Bernie Wohl Center at Goddard Riverside, 647 Columbus Avenue, New York City.

For collectors, gallery professionals, and interior designers, this is a chance to experience the work in person, study the surfaces, and engage the emotional and psychological depth of the portraits up close.

Today is the day. Unapologetic Faces: The Cost of Being Seen makes its debut tonight at Goddard Riverside. We’ve officially reached capacity, but you can still stop by. Entry may require a short wait in line, but if you’re on the Upper West Side, come experience the work, meet me and the other featured artists, enjoy a glass of wine, and be part of the evening. The reception runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, and I’ll be speaking at 8 PM. There is a lot to see, and I’d love to see you there.
