From AI concept to final installation — this one was so fulfilling to bring to life. ✨

For Think Pink 2026, I started by using AI to help visualize the initial concept: a soft, dimensional floral moment centered around the message:

BEHOLD.
BE TRANSFORMED.
REFLECT HIS GLORY.

From there, the real design process began.

I refined the concept, made adjustments for the actual space and build, selected the floral direction, and styled the final installation so it felt lush, intentional, and interactive. Seeing women step into it, pose on the stairs, celebrate, and truly experience the design was such a full-circle moment for me.

What I loved most was that this wasn’t just a pretty backdrop. The design carried the message of the conference — beholding His presence, being transformed by Him, and reflecting His glory.

There is something so special about taking an idea that exists first in your imagination, giving it a visual form, and then working with talented people to physically build it into something real.

Event design isn’t always about full coverage.

There are absolutely times when a complete room transformation is the right call — fully carpeted rooms, dated finishes, or a space that just doesn’t align with your vision. We’ve done those transformations, and we do them well.

But here’s what we’ve learned after designing hundreds of events: sometimes the venue is already doing the work for you.

At Parlor Banquet in Edison, NJ, the room featured a stunning black and white marble dance floor. Some designers would have wrapped it. We built the entire design around it — towering cherry blossom trees, dramatic navy draping, and gilded accents that made that floor the centerpiece of the night.

At Samuel’s Grande Manor, the space already spoke in black, white, and silver. Silver chiavari chairs. Dark patterned carpet. White paneled walls. So we leaned all the way in — black charger plates, monochromatic white florals, black lampshade accents — and created a tuxedo-inspired atmosphere that felt entirely bespoke.

The key? Choosing a venue that already suits your vision. When the architecture and colors are already on your side, the smartest design move is to blend into them — not cover them up.

That’s when curation becomes the move.

We paired crisp white linens with striking black charger plates to ground the design, while a flowing white runner added softness. There is something truly magical about a serpentine table layout — the way it curves and flows through a room, guiding the eye from one beautifully set table to the next. For this reception, we chose a serpentine-style arrangement to create movement and visual drama within the ballroom, turning what could have been a standard dinner setup into an experience.

Instead of isolated round tables scattered across the floor, the serpentine flow connects each table in a winding, organic formation that encourages conversation and creates an incredible sense of togetherness. Every guest feels like they are part of one grand, unified celebration rather than sitting at a separate island.

We layered each table with crisp white linens, textured dark charger plates, single-stem white roses in bud vases, and the soft flicker of candlelight to carry the romantic energy from one end of the room to the other. The result? A dining experience that looks just as stunning from above as it does from your seat.

A quiet moment before the celebration begins.

Layered tables designed to create depth throughout the room.

For Alyssa and Kyle’s reception, we mixed elevated tree centerpieces with low floral arrangements to create variation across the guest tables. The taller designs added height and structure, while the lower arrangements allowed for an intimate dining experience filled with candlelight and soft floral textures.

Blush linens, soft pink napkins, and warm candlelight complemented the palette of roses and greenery, bringing a sense of warmth and refinement to the space.

Designing a room with varied centerpiece heights allows the entire reception to feel dynamic while maintaining a cohesive look from table to table.

A reception design built around balance and symmetry.

For Alyssa and Kyle’s celebration, the room was anchored with two long estate tables running through the center of the space. Elevated floral arrangements created height and drama, while abundant floral clusters at the base of the tables added depth and richness to the design.

The palette of blush, rose, and deep pink florals brought warmth into the bright architectural space, while candlelight and soft linens kept the overall look refined and elegant.

Designing long table layouts like this allows the florals to become part of the architecture of the room, guiding the eye through the space and framing the couple at the center of the celebration.
