My first official project is finished and I love it!!! I messed up the back of it when trying to cut the aida cloth so still a work in progress. I’m already on to the next project. A little kitten in a cup that my daughter picked out. It’s much larger and uses a large hoop, so wish me luck!

My first official project is done! I just finished washing the fabric and it’s drying. I’m going to add it to our family collage wall! What should I stitch next?

My journey into exploring more “grandma” hobbies is underway. This era is going to be cross-stitching. The kiddo picked this pattern out for me, and I see tons of mistakes but she keeps saying “mama, it’s beautiful!”

Sometimes you have to just re-evaluate a design and tweak it. Which isn’t fun when you finished the piece but I had to do it this time. Carl just didn’t look right: so I changed his base skin to allow others colors to pop more, simplified his body and reduced the colors so it wasn’t as busy. I think it turned out much better on the second round! What do you think?
