TO SCORCH THE SURFACE
BOOMERANG-
BLISTERS ON THEIR FINGERS
LIVING BEHIND THE FENCE
YOU ARE SAFE IN THE PALM OF MY HAND.
EVERY MORNING I RISE
ADMIRE MY CREATION
BELOW THE CHEEK

Lily’s sweating out silky shawls.
She selects the dampest one
Kissing her lids and cheeks
Doors open release
Sounds of stabbing
Slinging muck
Pausing…
Life.

Something kept shaking him in his sleep... it wasn’t a nightmare; but a face, then another, and another. He rolled over again and saw tears in their eyes. “What’s wrong he asked?” They told him that they were alone and no one would listen to them. Well, he said, I am here; I will listen to every word you share. All of a sudden, the faces disappeared! He rolled over again and saw a bright light, waking him totally out of sleep. He began to walk towards the light and the faces re-appeared with smiles. He knew if he had stayed asleep, there would be much more after the tears... thank you, Lord Jesus for waking up for me... everyone! - Untraceable Greetings
