We are happy to announce the main event of the project !
“They will understand us in 100 years. Lazar Khidekel” is the first personal exhibition in the history of Belarus of an outstanding artist Suprematist, who in his early works anticipated Minimal art, he went down in history as the world's first Suprematist and ecological architect, innovator, artist, bright representative of the avant-garde, one of the founders of the UNOVIS association!
About 100 original works and UNOVIS documents from the Khidekel family archive and Collection will be delivered to Minsk from New York specially for the exhibition.
“The words of Lazar Khidekel “They will understand us in 100 years” and mystical coincidences inspired for the creation of the exhibition concept. It is amazing that Khidekel’s first solo exhibition will be held on his birthday, February 29th, in a leap year. After 100 years, Belarus can again be called the center for the development of future technologies. To emphasize this idea, young Belarusian architects and virtual reality IT specialists were involved in the work on the exhibition. A series of collaborations with designers, an accompanying program of lectures and events, and other interesting projects related to the work of UNOVIS and Khidekel are being prepared,” - Maya Katznelson, founder of the Belarusian-Jewish Cultural Heritage Center.
