To the Romans, she was the goddess of the moon, the hunt, forests, and wild animals, associated with independence, strength, and the untamed natural world.

Carved in Florence from white Carrara marble, this early-20th-century bust is signed F.lli Pugi Firenze, the mark used by brothers Gino and Fiorenzo Pugi.
The brothers inherited the celebrated workshop of their father, Guglielmo Pugi, and became known for mythological figures that combined classical beauty with extraordinary technical skill.

One piece of stone, yet every surface feels completely different. That is the detail that makes this sculpture impossible to pass without stopping for a closer look.

Please note: a portion of the crescent moon is missing.

Sometimes people are afraid that dark colors will make a room feel smaller or heavier. I’ve always felt the opposite—they make paintings richer, wood warmer, crystal brighter, and the whole room feel more like me.

Nothing here was chosen because it matched or followed a particular style. I simply kept bringing home the things I loved, and that became the only decorating rule I needed.
