Committed to tackling the world’s plastic pollution problem the best we can, our sustainability efforts are driven around rethinking the use of a plastic product already in existence over the production of any new materials.
Iconic in silhouette, our urban shoppers are made using a South African made knitted HDPE decorative shadecloth sourced at the end of its lifespan + selected because of its strength, durability + innovative design. Repurposed for reuse, we are able to deliver designs that have longevity, can be easily wiped clean + most importantly, can be recycled at end of life.

Our white racer urban shopper soaking up the African sun at our favourite West Coast fishing village 🖤
Careful consideration has been given to our choice in the locally produced HPDE waste material used to make our urban shoppers as although one of the easiest polymers to recycle, HDPE is a non-biodegradable material, making it imperative that products already in existence produced in this material are recycled or repurposed for reuse to minimize its impact in the environment.
