Art on the walls 🎨
There’s always more to discover at Modern on the Hudson. Alongside our collection of vintage and modern furniture, you’ll find a wide selection of paintings, drawings, prints and photography throughout the store.
Currently on view are works by Maxwell Stewart Simpson, Calvin Seibert, Marie Laurencin, Russell De Young, Peter Keil and Steve Balkin, whose colorful paintings grew out of a life spent in and around New York’s art world beginning in the 1960s.
Also hanging in the shop is Wolfgang Wesener’s photograph of Andy Warhol, taken from a contact sheet photographed at Warhol’s Factory.
These works are best experienced in person where the scale, color, texture and unexpected details can really come alive. If you’re wandering Warren Street, make Modern on the Hudson part of your day and come see what’s on the walls before the collection changes!
