The Moon Tree is launched in Madison Square Park!

Above is my photo of the month -- the Moon Tree ! Funny enough, they actually had a Moon Tree launch party last week in the park. You would think it is the rocket that is launched and the Moon Tree would land. I think they should have called it a Moon Tree landing!

Of course, you know that anything tree-related catches my eye. The story of the Moon Tree is that an astronaut who loved trees took some seeds into space. And voila, that is what makes a Moon Tree -- he brought the seeds back and planted them. There are only a few hundred in the world, apparently...

I hope the next tree-loving astronaut considers carrying Shea tree seeds into space. Then the Moon Tree can be a Shea tree! I will ask the Madison Square Park people to consider planting a Shea tree anyhow. They are very special even without any fancy connection to outer space!
