😭 Some of these answers are genuinely concerning…

We asked the team one simple question:

“What card would you throw away without thinking twice?”

The confidence in these answers is what really gets us. 😂

👇 Who gave the most painful answer? And if you HAD to throw away one card, what would you pick?

🦇 Red Bat. Both Blue Bats. Black Bat. Four different 1966 Batman sets—all arriving together at 4 Sharp Corners.

That alone makes this an interesting vintage non-sports arrival, but these sets aren’t going to remain intact.

Each will be broken up and offered as separates, giving collectors the opportunity to target individual cards from the 1966 Batman releases rather than acquiring an entire set.

The video gives a first look through the iconic #1 Batman card in PSA 8, with plenty more to come as we work through all four sets.

👀 Keep an eye on our listings over the coming week as the separates begin running. If you collect 1966 Batman, which card will you be looking for?

And if you have a complete or partial set you’re considering breaking and selling individually, 4 Sharp Corners handles set breaks and separates across sports and non-sports material.

⭐ Nine cards made this week’s Friday Favorites, and there are a lot of different ways to collect inside this group.

Basketball leads the way with two Star-era Michael Jordan pieces and four LeBron James cards, including both PSA 10 and PSA 9 examples of the 2003 Topps Chrome #111 rookie and a 2004 Topps Chrome X-Fractor /110, graded PSA 8 with a population of 6 at that grade.

Baseball brings a completely different mix: a 1952 Topps Jackie Robinson PSA 1, a Tiffany Greg Maddux rookie graded PSA 10 with a DNA Auto 10, and an Ozzie Smith rookie PSA 9 with a DNA Auto 10.

That mix of iconic issues, unusual formats, autographs and condition is exactly why these nine made the cut this Friday.

👀 Which one is your favorite—and which one are you watching before Sunday?

All nine are LIVE NOW in the Sunday Showcase and end Sunday, September 6.

📦 Before everything gets sorted, researched and processed, it looks a little something like this.

A substantial new collection recently arrived at 4 Sharp Corners, with shelves filling up with football helmets, framed pieces, packaged memorabilia, boxes and plenty of material we haven’t worked through yet.

That’s part of the fun of collection intake: at this stage, there’s still a lot left to discover.

This is only the early look. 👀 Would you want to see more as we work through it, and what would you want us to uncover first?

And for anyone with a collection of their own, 4 Sharp Corners handles cards, memorabilia and larger collections when you’re ready to sell or consign.

🎴 Put Pokémon product in an office full of card collectors and eventually somebody’s opening it. 😂

This time it was Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution — Perfect Order. A few boxes and a whole lot of packs later, the table was covered and everyone was comparing what came out.

There’s Bulbasaur, Tyrunt, Meowth, Mega Clefable ex, Lillie’s Determination and plenty more to spot as you swipe—but picking the favorite is on you.

👀 You get to keep ONE pull from the table. Which card are you taking?

🏆 The August Select Showcase closed with several record-setting results.

The 1984 Star #101 Michael Jordan RC — MBA Silver Diamond, MBA 8 NM-MT led the way at $226,100, marking the first MBA sale for the card.

Other highlights included the 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan RC — MBA Gold Diamond, PSA 9 at $68,300, the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle SGC 1 at $62,958, and the 2003 UD Honor Roll LeBron James RC — PSA 10 at $48,100—each setting a benchmark within its specific grade, slab or designation.

The 1984 Star Charles Barkley MBA 9 also recorded its first and highest MBA sale at $33,050, while the Conor McGregor Red Refractor #5/5 PSA 9 recorded its first sale at $6,800.

🏈 Joe Namath may be the headline, but this 1965 Topps Football set break goes much deeper.

At the center is the iconic #122 Joe Namath RC, PSA 8, joined by another Hall of Fame rookie in Fred Biletnikoff. Look further into the break, though, and the condition story becomes just as interesting.

The Verlon Biggs RC PSA 9 has a PSA population of 7 at that grade, while Dick Westmoreland, Buck Buchanan and Dave Costa also appear in high grades with notably small PSA grade populations.

Then there’s the #176 checklist PSA 8, a reminder that serious set building isn’t only about stars and rookies. Condition-sensitive components can become important targets when collectors are assembling high-grade vintage sets.

That combination of recognizable rookies, condition and challenging set pieces is what gives a set break its depth.

👀 The #1 most-watched card on eBay right now? The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle — 4SC Elite PSA 3.

It currently ranks #1 overall and #1 among baseball cards, but the bigger story is how much of the Top 10 currently belongs to 4 Sharp Corners listings.

Across eBay’s most-watched sports cards, 4SC currently represents 7 of the Top 10 in baseball, 2 in basketball, 1 in football and 3 in hockey.

Among them: another 1952 Mantle at #3 in baseball, a Jackie Robinson RC at #6, Michael Jordan rookies at #3 and #5 in basketball, and a Bowman Chrome Tom Brady RC at #9 in football.

For collectors, it shows what’s commanding attention right now. For consignors, it demonstrates the visibility and collector reach that the right marketplace and presentation can create.

The appeal goes beyond individual grades. These issues represent distinct eras of vintage baseball, from the colorful Goudey cards of the 1930s through some of the most recognizable rookie cards of the post-war hobby.

All are LIVE NOW in the August Select Showcase.
