Harry’s will be doing a “soft” reopening starting Monday, May 4.

Wake County is now allowing us to open our showroom for purchases, under the following guidelines:

We’ll be allowing a maximum of 6 customers in the store at a time. We’ll open to more when we feel we can do it safely.
We’ve set up a directional flow, using arrows on the floor, to increase social distancing in the shop
We’ve set up stations for customers so that you can try out products you’re interested in purchasing.
We’re cleaning surfaces regularly for your protection
We are asking our customers to wear masks while in the store if possible. That will protect all of us.
Because of the limited number of customers we can accommodate in the store at this time, and because we have to clean and disinfect every instrument after it’s been played, we’re again asking casual browsers to refrain from touching any instrument you’re not interested in purchasing. We’ve always loved having folks come by, hang out in the shop, and play guitars just for kicks, but unfortunately we have to put that on hold for now. We promise we’ll get back to that, just not quite yet.
We will still offer curbside pickup and free or discounted shipping for those that prefer to stay at home.
Our business hours will be 10-5, Monday thru Saturday, for the time being.

Thanks so much to our customers and friends for your support during this time. The outpouring of good will towards the shop has been truly inspiring. Most of us know someone that’s been personally affected by the virus, so please know that we’re taking your safety, as well as ours, very seriously.

Purchasing a Gift Card is a great way to show your support for local businesses. If you have the means during this time, please consider this as it’s a great way to keep your favorite shops afloat during these trying times. We have them available on our website for purchase with PayPal, or you can call the shop and we can mail them to you or anyone else you’d like us to send to. There is no expiration date and they are good for online or in the store purchases.

We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the show of support from you guys during these crazy times. You have really stuck by us, with your phone orders and emails of support, and it truly means the world to all of us here. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to seeing you back in the shop as soon as its safe.

We’re continuing to ship and offer curbside pickup for phone and internet orders, so please let us know if you need anything, small or large.

In the meantime, please be safe and continue to practice social distancing. We’re all gonna make it through this if we continue to work together.

Update

During the statewide Stay-At-Home order, we’ll do everything we can to keep you outfitted with supplies, or even instruments, that you may need. We are not able to open the doors at the shop, but we are able to ship you anything you need. We are answering the phone remotely as we can during normal business hours, but if you get the voicemail please leave us a message. We’re trying to return calls ASAP, and we’re doing everything we can to offer same-day shipping. As you know, the website does not show all of the accessories that we carry, so if you need it but don’t see it call us and we’ll be happy get it to you. These are tough times, but we’ll make it through. We’ll keep you updated on any changes.

As you might have heard, Wake County has issued a “Stay-at-Home” order, effective March 27 at 5pm through April 17.

We’d encourage you to check your supply of strings, accessories, and of course instruments, because after the order, we will not be able to do curb service. Today we are open on a limited basis for purchases until 5pm. We offer curb service and will open the door for repair pickups and purchases on a one-customer-at-a-time basis.

As mentioned earlier this week, we are cleaning all instruments after any play to ensure that we are doing our part to keep you (and us) safe and healthy.

In the meantime, we are offering a free roll of toilet paper with any instrument purchase until 5:00……you find the humor where you can in these times.

Please stay safe and we will update you the minute we know more.
