Who has a favorite sewing needle? Most of us have favorite hooks or knitting needles. I have a fave hook (g) despite dozens in my Jar. I also have a fave sewing needle. I have exactly TWO metal sewing needles and a dozen plastic. But I use this one. Always.

Mermay. Story: many years ago, my kid’s school had a little store where the children could turn in kindness tokens for trinkets. My daughter K really wanted these foam cat-mermaids, which she promptly shared with her little sister (who was in preschool at the time). Also, promptly, the foam toy ripped. K was heartbroken. I was a crochet artist. Took a few of my premade mermaids and altered them to be new mew-maids for them both. It’s been many years since (and judging by the hairs on her head, a long time under the bed), but this is my mew-maid. Hand made. For my kids. .

There are SO MANY amazing spectacular beautiful incredibly detailed crocheted versions of the Kpop Demon Hunters out there. Im baffled and flabbergasted and in awe. These? Aw, heck no. I didn’t even try to meet them half way. I just had fun with these dangle dolls. Hope some others do too.
