A peek behind the curtains! When we saw a co**se flower bloom in person, the idea behind Seedlings sprouted (😉) almost immediately. Our design started where it always does: research and understanding of the science behind the subject matter.

Co**se flowers, titan arum, grow out of a massive corm, or underground stem. The giant bloom that extends out of the corm isn’t just one big flower, it’s actually hundreds of tiny flowers blossoming out of the central structure.

We combined these unique elements into our first Seedling design: our Seedling Co**se Flower!

I shouldn’t play favs - but if asked.. Introducing the one, the only, the magnificent co**se flower 😍 The second photo is from when I got to see one bloom for the first time in person at the SF Botanical garden last year. These amazing flowers only bloom for 24 to 48 hours 🤯 and have quite the smell. That co**se flower was our inspiration for making the seedlings line 🥰

Manta rays have huge wings known as pectoral fins and tiny fins near their tail called pelvic fins. Those antennae on their head aren't antennae at all - they're called cephalic lobes!

These are the sorts of details we pay attention to when designing our plushies. Every AquaGlows plush comes with key facts and online content including incredible videos and photographs. Have fun and encourage learning!

Truly one of the most beautiful animals in the ocean, the manta ray is known as a gentle giant that flies through the water. We've designed our AquaGlows Manta Ray plushie to capture some of that magic: majestic 17" wingspan, beautiful embroidery, and careful attention to details, like anatomically accurate fin placement!

Have you ever seen a whale skeleton up close? We took a trip down to to see Ms. Blue, the resident blue whale skeleton, and she is breathtaking!

We tried to put that feeling - awe, inspiration, curiosity - into the design of our AquaGlow Humpback Whale. For those times when you can't make it to a museum to see Ms. Blue or other specimens, there's AquaGlows: plushies inspired by science.
