10 INFLATABLES (PART A)
While I wait for my prototype inflatable to process through production, I figured now would be a good time to inform you all of my ideas for some of my other inflatable products for my eventual online store. I have decided that I want to sell 10 different inflatable products, and they will be numbered 1–10 on my store listing. My idea is that the product packaging (which I recently discovered I can have another company create for me, like the design on the boxes that the products come in and other stuff) will have the number that the corresponding inflatable goes to on the packaging, and each number will be a different color on each of the boxes. This way, there’s kind of a package deal incentive to collect all the products in their numbers 1–10. When I was little, I had a few K’nex sets (if any of you remember those) that did this as well, where there were multiple sets in a collector’s pack and each set was numbered with a different color number on the box.
Anyway, here I have the first 5 of my 10 inflatable designs. I have decided that the first half of my products (the first 5) will be different designs for inflatable hoverbikes, and the last half (the other 5) will be designs of inflatable animal-like creatures. My thinking here is that I can create a number of fun inflatable creatures that both keep up with the sci-fi theme of my brand, and also might appeal to the inflatable community in a new way because I’ve noticed a lot of inflatable lovers have a strong connection for animal-like inflatables. Without further ado, here are my first 5 inflatables, which are all of my inflatable hoverbike designs. As this is a Facebook post, you can find the corresponding sketches below this post.
(Please note that these sketches just represent my initial ideas for these products. The final version of these will probably differ in color, shape, and possibly even design as they develop. I just wanted to give you all a rough idea of what I’m thinking for now. The name for each of these products might be subject to change as well.)
Inflatable #1: Inflatable Panda Bike
You know this design by now. This is the inflatable hoverbike that I am currently working on, and have a prototype on the way. As stated previously, this inflatable will measure 7.5ft long, 2.5ft high, and 3.5ft long. It will be designed to seat 1 or 2 people.
As I have also stated before, I will likely find a professional artist or designer to help me create a more fun and visually stunning design of this product after I have assessed the prototype.
Inflatable #2: Inflatable Plasmacycle
Inflatable 2 or the inflatable plasmacycle will be a hoverbike design that features 2 round (wheel) parts with the seat part between them The idea is that this design is supposed to look like a futuristic motorcycle. The white parts of the “wheels” that you see with the colorful dots will be transparent material with colorful LEDs inside, to give the wheels of the design an electric glow. This product should be a spectacle in the dark or at night. Measures 8ft long x 3ft tall x 2.5 ft wide. Seats 1–2 people.
Inflatable #3: Inflatable Bumblebee Bike
Inflatable 3 or inflatable bumblebee bike is a smaller inflatable hoverbike that resembles the appearance of a bumblebee. It’s small size makes it perfect for one person (or 2 small people) to enjoy all to themselves. The black part sticking up from the head of the bike will be the inflatable handlebars. This is the smallest and probably most simplest of my designs, so this is likely going to be the cheapest product on my site. Measuring 5ft long x 3ft tall (including the height of the handlebars) x 1.5ft wide.
Inflatable #4: Inflatable Quadriceptor Bike
This one is probably my most interesting design so far. Inflatable 4 or inflatable quadriceptor bike will be an inflatable 4-seater hoverbike. This design is probably the most subject to change based on size and complexability, but the idea for now is that it is a large drone-shaped inflatable with the 4 seats at the 4 corners of the inflatable. In order to seat 4 people, the design will need to be big. The current design measures 10ft long x 3.5ft tall x 10ft wide.
Inflatable #5: Inflatable Turret Bike
Inflatable 5 or inflatable turret bike is an armed hoverbike design that features one large gun turret shape at the front of the product and 2 smaller guns on either side of the front. Designed to seat up to 3 people. The person at the front can hold onto the handlebars at the side of the main turret as seen in the design. Here’s where I can see what the people at custom inflatables are capable of. Ideally, I want to see if I can add a print of a gun turret targeting screen on the rider’s side of the turret (represented by the large blue square that you see at the back of the turret in the drawing), and depending on how far I’m willing to push things, I want to see if I can add a sq**rt gun attachment for the turret part for additional functionality, or at very least have then design the product in a way that a sq**rt gun attachment could fit in or around the turret somehow. At very least, I want them to add the targeting screen print to the back, which I think it a lot more doable, but we will see when the time comes. The product will be 8ft long x 4ft tall (including the height of the turret) x 3ft wide.
That’s all of my inflatable hoverbike ideas for my storefront. Next post, I will show you guys my ideas for inflatables #6–10, which are my inflatable creatures. As of now, I already have my ideas thought out, and all I need to do is sketch them out as I have done here. Talk to you all again real soon!
