This is one of the hardest posts I've ever had to make... Our beautiful mother Doris Ames was informed that she had kicked cancer's ass in true Momma bear fashion on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately the treatments weren't over yet though... she tried to stay positive and strong throughout all the harsh radiation... chemo... and even the Keytruda, but her poor little body couldn't handle it. As many know she's spent the past few weeks in a medically induced coma after catching pneumonia. This was followed by days and weeks of improvements and days with some setbacks that made it even harder to come back from. She did it though... she was improving and we were all so sure she'd be back to her spunky little self after some much needed strength building rehab.

That ALL changed yesterday...

Mom passed away last night with all of us surrounding her with love and comfort. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers while we grieve the devastating loss of one of the most amazing people we have been blessed to share this life with. Momma.. while it is so heartbreaking not to have you here anymore.. I'm really trying to find peace in knowing you are no longer hurting and suffering and that for once throughout this entire health battle... someone finally listened to YOU. We love and miss you more than can be expressed.
