I just wanted to take a minute to call attention to a wedding + event aesthetic that has really become a personal favorite of mine: WILDFLOWERS. Now there are several reasons why I really vibe with this theme, some of them being:

• Color palette friendly— whether you like the whimsical pastels, the vivid brights, or the romantic jewel tones, wildflowers come in a variety of palette options to accentuate whatever floral ideas you want brought to life.
• Inspire a free-spirited motif— this allows creativity to flow and promote more authenticity without the extra stress when planning the fine details of your special day. Generally speaking, this energy is carried into the wedding day itself, which not only encourages your wedding party to be more relaxed, but your guests as well.
• More financially savvy— I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t love a good bargain! The options of wild and wispy florals are generally more cost-friendly when it comes to your wedding budget, so you’re usually able to get more bang for your buck while also being able to utilize more in the venue decorations and not just bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres.

Regardless of if you’re planning a spring, summer, or autumn wedding, wildflowers should be a solid contender when considering options for your special day. With there being various directions for your vision to go in with this choice of florals, one thing’s for certain— you can’t go wrong🌸

Hi there, we’re Petals & Pluck! Better known to our family and friends as Shelby & Jenna, we’re a couple of sisters who have an artistic eye for the beauty the wedding industry has to offer, and have a passion to bring your bridal floral visions to life.🌺

Our story begins with Shelby’s very own wedding in October of 2023. Having demonstrated years of experience in bridal makeup and hair design, Shelby had a vision of expanding her bridal services repertoire, and decided to create all of her very own wedding florals with the help of Jenna who dabbles in artsy side hustles.

Shelby reflects back: “My vision when I was thinking about my bouquets was romantic with a boho and whimsical feel. I knew I wanted them to stand out with some black and dark purple, which are not your typical colors seen in wedding florals. Getting married in the month of October helped to solidify this for me, as fall tends to have your darker, moody colors.
Our venue was on a working farm complete with cattle so that’s where I felt like I wanted to incorporate things like pampas grass to give it more of a rustic feel. Being the indecisive individual that I am, I had a hard time choosing which styles I liked best when creating the bridesmaids’ bouquets, and that’s when I had the idea to create all of their bouquets slightly different and letting them choose which one they each liked best to carry.
We did the same thing for the boutonnières and corsages, taking into consideration the opinions of those who would be wearing them when assembling, so it was customizable to their liking. My husband had a completely different boutonnière from the groomsmen; the best man’s was also different, and our dads got to have their own unique looking boutonnières as well. I felt like this was a special way to incorporate a touch of individuality for everyone that we hold close to our hearts during our special day.”
