I’m Alex Kowalczyk, a scenic artist, designer, and fabricator with more than ten years of experience in entertainment production and visual storytelling.
This is where I’ll share the process behind the work—from early sketches and material choices to fabrication, hand-painted finishes, and completed pieces.
AKA Studios is now accepting a LIMITED number of custom outdoor holiday commissions for the 2026 season, while continuing to develop residential and commercial fabrication work across Central Florida.

Most people see the finished scenery. I have spent more than a decade working in the process behind it.
My background in entertainment production allows me to create large-scale artwork with a variety of different materials, and planning for the finished piece to be experienced in a unique setting.
After years of designing and fabricating artwork at multiple different scales, it is time to make that same artistry more accessible to you! AKA Studios brings that scenic-art perspective into custom residential and commercial work—designed carefully, fabricated professionally, and finished by hand.

Christmas 2026 commissions are now open.
AKA Studios is accepting custom outdoor holiday commissions for a LIMITED number of Central Florida homes. Each display begins with the client’s property, traditions, interests, and preferred holiday style—not a catalog of predetermined designs.
Starting packages include three medium scenic pieces, an original full-color concept, one revision round, professional fabrication, and a hand-painted outdoor finish.

Every outdoor piece is treated with rain shield and UV blocking technology to help colors stay intact for future seasons.
Packages begin at $899.

1. Share your property and initial ideas.
2. Talk through the story, style, and practical requirements.
3. Review an original full-color concept.
4. Approve the direction and design details.
5. Watch the design move through fabrication and hand painting.
6. Receive original outdoor artwork created for your home.

Seasonal commissions could incorporate your family, pets, yearly traditions, or your unimaginable (for now) concept, that will be cherished for years to come.

A custom holiday display by AKA Studios allows you to express your heart’s desire unlike mass produced store-bought decorations. Every commissioned concept is developed in collaboration with the customer.

This upcoming 2026 season we are only taking FOUR clients. With packages starting at $899, AKA Studios will take your personal inspirations and create and fabricate a design specifically for you.

The design below is a conceptual example rendered from the homeowner’s request for festive garden decorations inspired by a true Florida Christmas. As a result AKA Studios designed Santa and his little helper while on his Florida delivery route. Santa and his helper will come to life this upcoming season in Windermere.
