Custom Haag Bb Trumpet made for Omar Martinez currently with Luis Miguel. The instrument is in raw brass , see pictures. Bore is ML. It weighs similar to a standard Bach and yet plays free with colors in the sound. Note the trumpet has two personalized engravings OMAR on the receiver and his son’s name ENZO on valve casing. Every year when the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) Conference rolls around, there’s a massive pull to pack up the inventory, load up the display cases / tables, and head out to join the expo floor. It’s a fantastic event, and seeing old friends is always tempting. I really do enjoy it personally.

But this year, I made a conscious choice to stay right here at the shop.

While mega-expos are great for high-volume browsing, the reality of a massive convention floor is that it’s crowded, incredibly loud, and inherently rushed.

It’s hard to truly analyze a mouthpiece or horn, fine-tune an issue, or listen to the subtle resonance differences of a horn when there are a hundred other trumpet players using the exhibition floor like "america's got talent" or "gig for the year" in the same room.
